Why this tune?
January 15 is apparently National Bagel Day, so I couldn’t not mark the occasion with a new song. It’s also the midpoint of the January Song-a-Day Challenge organized by Sarah and Kat at Songwriting for Music Educators. They call this the “messy middle:” “The excitement of the initial challenge may have worn off, and it feels like we have so far to go to reach the end.”
I’m happy to say that I’ve managed to produce something for every day so far. I have had challenges coming up with new ideas every day, so this is an opportunity to reset and think about other ways to approach the daily challenge.
