Tunes on Tuesday: Blame It On The Snake

Why this tune?

This week’s tune is the result of another collaboration in the FAWM community (fawm.org). I connected on the website with two very talented writers, David Graham and Vaughan Ray Daniel, and set their words to music. Their creative take on the first story in the Torah seems like a good fit for my “Parsha Songs” project, a plan to write songs inspired by each of the 54 weekly Torah portions in the Jewish tradition. This one will be the third completed song, with another two or three in progress and notes for several more. I’m still figuring out where the project will go. Right now I’m continuing to explore the text and write some songs.

This is the second time I’ve collaborated with Graham and Daniel. You can hear the other tune “Every Day Above Ground” on Soundcloud. I’m hoping to work on more songs with
these guys in the future.
