Oren Levine is an accomplished jazz pianist and composer from Washington, DC. He performs frequently in the Washington, DC area, leading his own groups and performing regularly with many talented vocalists including Aaron Myers, Barbara Papendorp, and Tony Gudell. He also is a long-standing member of the house band at the weekly DC Jazz Jam.

Oren’s debut album “Making Up For Lost Time” features eleven of his original songs, performed by an all-star group of musicians from the DC region. The 2018 album was recognized with three Washington Area Music Award (Wammie) nominations.

Oren’s original song “Stand Right”, performed by Aaron Myers, was featured on NPR and in the Washington Post. His jazz and pop songs have been recorded by Aaron Myers, Lionel Lyles, and Jason Mendelson’s MetroSongs project.

Oren developed his skills as a performer and accompanist through private study with Harry Appelman, Frank Wilkins, and Boston legend Harvey Diamond. As a regular participant in the Vermont Jazz Center summer workshop, he studied piano and theory with Eugene Uman and Ray Gallon.
